Both of them are beautiful and both really get the feel of the game, enough to be a balm to those of us mourning the shutdown. The first one is friendly and oddball-funny and innocently naughty, like the game at its best. The second is mythic and offers a melancholy but beautiful meditation on the game's end --- and once you read it, you will never remember The Rube the same way again.
