What first attracted you to Glitch? What got you hooked? [personal profile] synecdochic posted about it back in October, and I decided to check it out on a whim. The sheer playfulness of it was immediately appealing, as was the way my then-haircut would do a beautiful flip every time I jumped. It was a joyous thing to explore, and sharing it with others just made it all the more awesome.
Have you specialized your learning/street features/bags/etc. for any particular skill branches? I initially specialized in cooking-related skills (animal kinship for raw ingredients, gardening for crops, etc.), and now am highly specialized for tincturing various herbal essences and producing bulk food. (I actually have done most of my leveling-up through sheer variety of nomming - I only have a few Completist badges so far.)
Do you have a tower? If so, what's neat about it? Would you like help adding floors or building one in the first place? Glitchwidth is technically my tower, though it's very much a communal effort. I am still in awe that it's complete, and how much awesome y'all have been continuing to pile into to it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Do you have anything in excess you'd be willing to trade or give away? If you want any advanced potions in particular, I have the stockpiles of essences to make most of them on demand.
Do you have anything you need or want more of that other people could give you? I'm always looking for more basic resources (beans, allspice, bubbles, and guano especially) for making food for Glitchwidth's Pub floor. Also, $FancyDrinks for restocking are always in demand.
Are there any quests, achievements, and/or other goals you're still trying to accomplish before the end of the world? I'd like to finish learning all the various skills and visit at least once every street on the world map (and incidentally finish gathering those final few wisps of giant DNA).
Have you visited the Vortex of Randomness yet? Are there any regions you haven't visited at all? Yes to visiting Vortex of Randomness, and not yet to 'Symphonious Maximus'.
Do you practice any skills similar to Glitch skills offline? I'm a skilled and adventurous cook (and I do actually grow herbs, though I primarily use them as fresh seasonings, not for making strange essences); I will pet any feline who accepts that form of worship; I love chemistry (though test tubes are rarely so predictable) and I sometimes meditate.
What do you think you'll miss the most about Glitch? The easy interaction with other people, the meditative pleasure of growing and harvesting and tending to various elements of the world, the beautiful art and sly delight intrinsic to every inch of it all.
Where else can Glitch friends find you online? Are there any other Dreamwidth communities you're active in? Glitchen can find me on Dreamwidth, and I'll likely start frequently #dreamwidth IRC again after Glitch closes. As for communities, [community profile] poetree primarily, with a sprinkling of others depending on my current interests and spoon-levels.
What are your five most frequently used tags on your Dreamwidth posts? Alternatively, pick five words that describe what you post about. My top four tags are poetry-related, my fifth is 'comm: poetree', and the sixth (for variety) is 'meta'. ...this is mostly a function of how I tend to nest tags, I think. (I've got close to 600 at this point, most in nested hierarchies.)
Anything else you'd like to add? There's something to be said for adapting elements of Glitch to offline life. (Link goes to TED talk.)
